About Under BQE Productions

Under BQE Productions LLC is a boutique production company specializing in documentary film, narrative video, and branded content. Built over years of work in New York's nonprofit, education, and creative sectors, we bring a thoughtful, story-first approach to every project; from institutional films and school partnerships to commercial campaigns and branded content.

We partner with schools, nonprofits, cultural organizations, and brands seeking a production collaborator to develop and deliver work with a distinctive visual voice.

Jeremy St. Romain is a writer-director, filmmaker, photographer, and educator based in Los Angeles, with deep professional roots in New York. Over two decades of work across all five boroughs, he built a practice centered on community storytelling, documentary portraiture, and branded content for mission-driven organizations. He now works bicoastally, bringing that same sensibility to commercial and narrative projects on both coasts.

He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Hofstra University's Lawrence Herbert School of Communication, where he teaches screenwriting, TV writing, and documentary production. He is also a 2025 Television Academy Foundation Alex Trebek Legacy Fellow.

His narrative work includes Superstition, a Southern Gothic supernatural pilot that won the Big Apple Film Festival. His screenwriting projects have advanced at Sundance and been recognized by Final Draft Big Break and Save the Cat screenwriting contests.

Jeremy holds a BA in English Literature from Louisiana State University, an MS in Teaching from Fordham University, and an MFA in Screenwriting from Brooklyn College's Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema.
